A Quest For Truth, Soul Seeds

Nothing Material

Dear God,
As I open my heart and allow Jesus in
I pray for your mercy; that you make me strong from within.

Please…
Help me understand your ways, for I fear I’ll go astray
It can seem so difficult, I don’t like it this way.
Please…
Help me find the courage and strength to change my deeply rooted ways
Carry me within your arms, as I face my anger and tears each and every day.
Please…
Help me forgive others who have hurt me along the way
Help me realize it was never intentional, all the harm that came my way.
Please…
May I never forget you died for my sins and nothing will take this away
Help me to love and forgive myself, in each and every way.
Please…
Help me to understand that death is not the final act
Help me not to be afraid of what will happen next.
Please…
Help me to do good for others and value them in every way
May I have their best interests at heart, even if I’m not treated the same.

Please…
Help me to better myself a little more each day
I pray for the peace of mind that I hope will come my way.
Please…
Help me have patience with others, as you continually have for me
Let me not be a bigot or a liar, but only to walk in your ways.
Please…
Help me not to fight against you, for I cannot do this alone
I know you have a plan for me God, show me which way to go.
Please…
That I may not die without having fully lived and fully loved
Continue to calm these fears, as I learn to trust you from above.

Lord…
Please give me all of these tools that I need, but most of all
please… be a part of me.
In Jesus name, A-men.

Such beautiful and passionate writing. You, my dear, are radiant! :) So glad to have discovered your writing, it’s been the highlight of my day. Thank you. Looking forward to your future writings.

Personally speaking, I prayed to Jesus/God for years for strength, clarity and wisdom. After much seeking, I finally discovered everything I had ever asked Him for. To my surprise, I discovered everything that I wanted, I already possessed. All of the strength we wish for is already instilled in us when we were created. There is no more He can give us, because he’s already given us everything we need. We just forget and become blind to it along the way.

    Peace & grace,
    ~Miro

Hi my dear Sister Jessie, it is so True that unless we put to death out fleshy carnel natures we will not walk in Victory and it was also why Jesus needed to be our final Sacrifice, in Him we are forgiven and receive His free gift of Salvation and also we are set free from the Slavery and bondage of sin and are perfected in His Love, nor wordly perfection but Godly perfection.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.

1John 4:16-17 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

That has got to be one of the most thorough salvation prayers I have ever read! This was one great post altogether. I will refer a LOT of new christians here to it. For me, immersing myself in the Word is what changed me. 10 chapters of the bible a day every day will do that to you. Very uplifting post! Keep them coming!

Wow… thank you so much and once again, I’m humbled. I went through some very intense bible study as well for about 5 years where we spent hours almost every day immersed in the Word and it was such a special time in my life. While I believe there’s a balance to be found, I do miss aspects of being that heavily involved. I appreciate your encouragement and many blessings!

You are right, balance is very important. It takes me about 45 minutes a day to read 10 chapters of the bible. When I figured out that I spent about 3 hours a day watching tv, I simply dropped 1 hour of tv and devoted it to God. The rest of my days are still the same, but now they are oh so richly blessed!

I really appreciate your comment, because I think its important for people to understand the relation. I think too many of us can use the excuse of not having enough time or dread the time we think reading or praying might take, but it really doesn’t take long, especially when you consider the witty comparison you’ve made here :) Plus, every little bit helps and is planting a seed!

Dear Jessie J., I join you particularly in this part of your prayers:
“Carry me within your arms, as I face my anger and tears each and every day.
    Please…
Help me forgive others who have hurt me along the way”. May you lay your head in peace on a dear lamb’s flank as all in the stall adore that Babe!
