“Enable Us”

December 10, 2011

A Quest For Truth, Soul Seeds

Enable us to love the unlovable
That they may know You, Father…
Enable us to approach the unapproachable
That they might know Your kindness.
Enable us to touch the untouchable
That they might know Your gentleness.
Enable us to be longsuffering
That they might know Your patience.
Enable us to help the needy
That they might know Your goodness.
Enable us to have compassion and comfort
That they might know Your peace everlasting.
Enable us to forgive every wrong
That they might know Your grace and mercy.
Enable us to share in laughter
That they might know Your joy.
Enable us to be humble and meek
That they might know Your strength and power.
Enable us to be obedient and faithful
That they might know Your commandments.
Enable us to accomplish the impossible
That they might know Your glory.

Soul Seeds…

Heavenly Father, enable us with Your love that we may be known as Your disciples. As You have come for the sinner and loved unto the end, may we in turn, abide in Your commandment to also love one another. (John 13:34-35 paraphrased)

A much needed prayer by all of us “rushees” at this season. Thank you for the perspective on the reason for the season you have have so beautifully provided here. Especially needed is the ability to “approach the unappoachable.” Very timely. Thank you, dear Jessie jeanine!
