We need to teach our Daughters
the difference between ~
A man who FLATTERS her
and a man who COMPLIMENTS her.
A man who SPENDS MONEY on her
and a man who INVESTS in her.
A man who views her as PROPERTY
and a man who views her PROPERLY.
A man who LUSTS after her
and a man who LOVES her.

Reblogged this on Parzival's question and commented:
I have three daughters and this hits home. If you have three sons, teach it to them.

Wonderful reminders to all parents still raising sons and daughters. I am very pleased to say I see my adult daughter and adult son living out the proof that they know how to value themselves and inspire reciprocal esteem in their mates.

Being able to witness the ‘fruit of our years of labor’ as parents is one of the most rewarding aspects… how wonderful granbee!

That is really great. I have three sons, so the last one is really key for me.

Thanks Derek. I don’t think there’s anything greater than parents who are willing to teach their young men how to:
First, revere and submit to God
Second, to love and respect the ladies as Christ loves His church

Jessie, this is very powerful! Thanks for sharing and as I have a young adult daughter, I think I’ll print it out for her. She’s doing fine, but this contains very valuable lessons~ Hugs to you!

Glad you find it just as valuable Lauren ~ my girl is doing well too, but as a single mother I’d sure like to hang a poster sized version of this on her walls! I hope your daughter can appreciate it as well. Warm hugs and blessings to you and your family.

AMEN Jessie our young ladies need to know this it’s vital because if they grow up not knowing then they end up in dead relationships including marrying the wrong man…And also our young men need to know the difference as well. I know it wasn’t your topic for the men but I thought I through that one in there

Hi Desiray :) These are important lessons for both the ladies and men… coming from such a broken home and failed relationships of my own, I sure wish I would have been taught these things growing up. I can only pray that my efforts as a parent to teach and expose my child to all the things like this that I wasn’t given, maybe she’ll have an easier and/or happier journey than what I went through.

I’m in complete agreement with you ~ I really appreciate the direct simplicity of this poem, as it makes for a powerful teaching piece and yes, communication is ALWAYS key! Many blessings.

That is a wonderful and profound poem you have there. I’ve reblogged it on my Blog nirupamaprv
This should definitely be taught by all mothers for a much better world.

I appreciate it and your visit! I’m not the author of this poem though. All my research turned up was “author unknown.”
