To realize our mistakes
To change old ways
To heal our wounds
To mend and renew
To explore what may
To embrace a change
To learn the truth
To grow,
And reach,
And stretch
Beyond…
what you thought was you.
Soul Seeds…
As ‘people’ we go through seasons of life just like the changing of leaves during an autumn’s harvest. At first, we welcome the bright, colorful sights which surround us each year with joy and enthusiasm. But then as things begin to change and fall all around us (just like in real life) we may not wish to embrace the browning period with as much excitement, if at all. By God’s design, the cycle of life is just as important for people as it is for mother-nature. The turning period of the season is a critical time period for us to take notice of. It is a necessary process and pivoting point when… the old things must die to make way for the new.

Seasonal change is a beautiful thing – long ago, it caused me heartache. But your poem embraces the fact that change is renewal and I love that. Perhaps that is why with healing I now find seasonal change so inspiring. Thank you, by the way, for visiting my blog. If you would like a CD of my music, email me and I’ll mail it to you freely. :) (judy@judyunger.com)
